Isle of Grain Youth FC were formally accepted by the League last night.
The club applied to the League after their own League collapsed. Teams in the under 10's & 12's will pick up fixtures' in the New Year.

Age Appropriate Coaching Introductory Module:

Age Appropriate Coaching Introductory Module
At 44Two Sports and Social Club
I am pleased to exclusively invite you and your coaches to an Age Appropriate Coaching - Introductory Module.
The workshop is £15 per coach and will be held at 44Two Sports and Social Club, Gillingham, 6.30pm to 9.30pm on Tuesday, 8 & 15 November 2011. Coaches must be 16 years or over and must attend both evenings.
The FA Learning Introductory Module – Age Appropriate Coaching is a vocational course that provides you with an opportunity to develop an awareness of both the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching young players, specifically in the 5-11 age group.
The module has been developed by FA Learning using expertise from a variety of FA staff and experienced coaches. Club’s applying for the FA Charter Standard Club Award or those completing the Annual Health Check will need to demonstrate at least one coach who has completed the module.
On successful completion of the module, coaches should be able to define movement skills incorporating Agility, Balance & Co-ordination and their relevance to the game while explaining & demonstrating how technique can be used to help players perform a skill.
The module will also give coaches a greater understanding of The FA Tesco Skills Programme and signpost coaches where to go next on their coaching pathway.
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Candidates have to book themselves onto the Module by using their own FAN and password (The FA’s FAN Finder or email getonline@thefa.com). If candidates have no internet access, they can send a letter with a cheque made payable to KCFA Ltd, but in this case the course will cost £20.00 with the place not guaranteed until the letter and cheque is received.

League achieve FA Charter Standard:
North Kent league celebrate award
The North Kent Youth League celebrated this week after successfully being awarded the FA Charter Standard League award.
The FA Charter Standard League award is a flagship initiative for The FA, and assesses the ability of a League to provide a high quality, safe and enjoyable football experience against a standard set of criteria. It also encourages the League to continually develop, through ongoing support from the development team at the Kent FA and the review an ongoing delivery of a League Development Plan.
The League was formed in 1981 and runs from Under 7’s to Under 15’s covering 91 teams.
Lee Suter, Football Development Officer for the Kent County FA, praised the League by saying: “The league made a huge dedication to achieve the FA Charter Standard Award and this demonstrates to their member clubs their desire to develop the league and support club services”.
The league boosts 71% of member teams holding the prestigious award is committed to high standards of coaching, administration and safeguarding which as a benchmark for quality improves the playing experience for all.
The FA Charter Standard Coordinator for the league, Ricky Adams said "We are delighted to achieve the coveted award. We have produced a comprehensive and exciting development plan which when delivered will improve the playing experience for all involved”.
The FA Charter Standard League Award which is used as a vehicle to drive club development sees the Kent County FA setting an ambitions target of having 75% of mini soccer and youth teams playing within a FA Charter Standard Club by 2012.
