History

2009/2010:

This season saw the league change its name to the North Kent Youth League in line with its proposals to move forwards and develop into a larger football league, furthermore the new website which you see now was introduced and the League ran divisions from Under 7s through to Under 14s.
2008/2009:
The 2008/09 season was a successful one for the Gravesend Boys & Primary Football League running age groups from Under 7s to Under 15s.

In the mini soccer age groups there were tightly fought divisions going down to the final weeks of the season to decide the winners of those. In addition, in the Under 7s and Under 8s, besides their league program the league became the first in Kent to host a Mini Festival of Football for Under 7s and Under 8s. It was a great success for all the boys/girls and the league as a whole. This will be an annual event held for the Under 7s and Under 8s.

In the youth age groups more tightly contested divisions with 4 or 5 teams fighting for the title went to the final days of the season and even midweek matches for those to be decided.

In the Under 13s division, it was the tightest it has ever been with the top 4 teams within 5 points of each other highlighting the strength of the competition.
In addition, highlighting the strength of the leagues teams, Real Gima U15s had a superb Kent County Cup run beating Kent Youth League team Folkestone Invicta 4-3 and losing out in the Quarter-Final 1 v 0 to AFC Sheppey. A fantastic achievement from all of those at Real Gima FC.

In April/May the leagues annual League and Sports Cup Finals were held in lovely sunshine with some excellent football on display. Dartford Town FC U9s, U10s and U11s all winning their League Cups.
Real Gima fighting off competitions from Dartford Town FC and Eagles to record a cup double and in the U15s tight games between Gravesend Spartans and Real Gima resulted in them sharing the cups one each.
